Like all classes at BendnMove, this is a gentle yoga class meant to help the student connect with their body. The class format is designed to be modified based on who attends class. The instructor will lead students through a series of yoga poses using modifications as necessary to help each student understand and experience the benefits of yoga. The use of coordinated breath with movement focuses the mind, and allows for deeper relaxation. No experience is necessary and you can join anytime.

Students will be lead through various poses both classic and restorative that help the body relax and de-stress. This will be followed by a breathing practice and visualization to prepare the student for rest. All postures are gentle and no experience is required. If you are having trouble sleeping or have a high level of stress in your life, this is a great class for you. Class will be taught by two teachers in alternating weeks during the month, Milo Minnis and Tamara Gillest. Join anytime!

Like all classes at BendnMove, this is a gentle therapeutic class meant to help the student unwind through mindful movement. Students are lead through a series of asanas focused on stretching and strengthening the hips and back, although the whole body benefits from the movement. Focus on breath and movement helps to ease and integrate healthy movement leading to better awareness of posture. This class tends to be a beginning class, but welcomes all levels. Join anytime.

This practice will allow you to become stronger: slowly, gradually and safely. You will be lead through a series of movements that strengthen your bones and muscles which will give balance to your body. Using weights offers resistance and is helpful for building bone mass. For this class, it is optional but not required for some of the movement. Movement using resistance and light weight is a great way to help your bones stay healthy and avoid osteoporosis, too. This class can be enjoyed by all levels.

Learn the yoga basics. This class is gentle and offers beginners the basics on how yoga can help relax and rejuvenate your body. The class focuses on meditative and fluid movement to increase range of motion, joint and muscle stability and flexibility, with options offered to gently and gradually strengthen. Great for beginners or experienced yogis who enjoy a slower, relaxing pace and/ or those who are living with chronic pain or recovering from injury.

This is class is appropriate for the older adult who is experiencing challenges with balance and transitioning to and from the floor. The majority of this practice is offered from a chair or standing and includes gentle movement, mindful breathing, and reflection. This class serves an aging population as well as those suffering from neurological imbalance such as MS or Parkinson's Disease. Please dress in comfortable clothes that allow you to move.

Lu Jong works simultaneously with body, mind and energy. It’s a combination of form, movement and breath, which besides the physical health benefits, calms the mind and balances emotions. Lu Jong focuses very much on the spine. It balances the spine, prevents postural imbalance and increases blood flow. It is gentle movement and can be enjoyed by inflexible bodies.

A very gentle and fun class that focuses on Strength, Stability, Agility, Flexibility, and Cardiovascular health. Resistance bands, weights, balls, blocks, and other tools are used to assist with fun movement. This is a combination class that includes gentle yoga and the use of the foam rollers. We've added the soft foam rollers to a few of our therapy classes and find that students like to hang out on the rollers, so we are officially adding a roller class that combines with yoga therapy. Plan to spend at least half the class on the foam rollers on the floor. Some modifications can be made for those wishing to stay in a chair or stand. The gentle yoga includes stretches of the tissue lines throughout the body. This is a great class for a post-workout like running or cross-fit. Use of soft and medium rollers helps to further soften the connective tissue.

A gentle and restorative approach to stretching muscles and tissues to help with flexibility, mobility, and stability. This class is aimed at the active adult who would benefit from restorative movement as an addition to their already active life.
