Christina Monahan

Christina fell in love with yoga in 2016 as she was recovering from surgery. She was drawn to yoga as a low-impact way to rebuild and restrengthen her muscles, and was pleasantly surprised by the numerous other benefits it provided her; namely the general sense of calm, connectedness, and understanding she gained with regular practice.

Christina completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with Nina Granatir and Audrey Benton at Be Yoga Burien in the fall of 2017. She is trained in the Classic 26 or Bikram style of Hatha yoga, from the Bishnu Ghosh lineage. Christina believes that yoga should be accessible for everyone, and she offers many different options within each posture, encouraging her students to individualize their practice in the way that feels best for them. Her biggest goal is for each of her students to leave class feeling strong and empowered.

Christina is thrilled to offer Hatha yoga to the community at BendnMove in a fun, interactive, and adaptive manner that allows each student to make their practice as challenging or as restorative as they wish.
